Great Granny Swap: The Final Project

For my last "square," I wanted to do something special. This is the square I intend to offer to our swap hostess, Amber, and I know she's going through a lot of extra trouble to make the whole swap thing happen. So, I want it to be extra special.

If you know me, you know that I'm big into creating useful crochet. Remember the Java Monkeys? The project also had to be granny inspired, so, after playing around with a few squares, I decided to make Amber a granny pouch!

The pouch uses five three-round squares (like the ones I used in my four-patch grannies on day 10). I stitched them together in an envelope shape and added an extra chunky button for closure. The ouch came out just the right size for my keys and cell phone and I just know I'm going to have to make another one for myself!
