Thank you

The Thanksgiving dishes are rattling away in the dish washer and football is droning while the little one dreams of a third dessert up in her crib. Things are finally quiet and I have a few minutes to myself to think about all the hings I am thankful for this year. There are too many people and things to list out here, but I want to share a few nonetheless.

I'm thankful for my family. My daughter has been with us just over a year now and I couldn't imagine life without her. Whats more, I couldn't imagine life without the love and support I've gotten from the rest of my family -- both in helping to take care of my daughter and in encouraging me to start The Itsy Bitsy Spider.

I'm thankful for my customers. It sounds hokey, I know... but I'm thankful for each and every person who purchased a doll or pattern. With each sale, my confidence and creativity are growing. I want to try more things and come up with more creations to delight you.

And I'm thankful for the friends I have made through blogging, Etsy street teams, and Facebook. So many of you I've never met in person... but I treasure your comments, feedback and encouragement -- both on this blog and elsewhere.

I'd also like to thank the academy...  Ok, just kidding. But I was serious on the other three. As we start into the prime holiday season, I want everyone to know just how much I appreciate my family, friends, customers, and peers for helping me to make The Itsy Bitsy Spider a reality.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Ok you were getting me all choked up there so I'm glad you threw in the academy part. That was really a special post because I can totally relate to it. I feel the same way about the family support in our crafting business endeavors and I've 'met' so many new people, and made so many new friends thru blogging and crafting, it really has made a difference in my life. So many times I'll think about a fellow blogger or crafter and think I better go pop in on their blog and see what they're up to (like I did with you this morning, and then you went and almost made me cry....) lol. Funny thing is, you would think that we'd think of each other as competitors, but instead we encourage each other, help each other, refer people to each other's sites, and truly want each other to succeed. This is a crazy busy time of year for us crafters so remember to take some time for YOU and as always I wish you all best.
