The Hooters Come to Roost

Yesterday was the big deadline for the Great Owl Crochet-Along swap. Of course, in all my meticulous planning, I never stopped to think that the day I selected might be a Sunday (um, DUH! No mail on Sundays!). So, I collected the last of the weekend travelers with today's mail.

The past few weeks have been like Christmas for me -- with new owls flying in every couple of days. And, the way I see it, my letter carrier has to SERIOUSLY hate me by now. Note to self -- remember to bake lots of cookies for letter carrier for Christmas.

Well, without further ado, I present to you the participants in the swap...

On the upper shelf, from left to right, we have: kittie, Judy, arixystix, Kathya, kermsm70, and me. The bottom shelf holds: Elise, evereeve, Shanny (two owls), Lucy Bad Dog, and Heather.

If the little one allows me some quiet time, I hope to put together my random pairings tonight so I can get the owls back on their way home this week, as promised.

And again... I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record... but THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this crochet-along (whether you chose to swap or not). I personally have had a great time getting to know all of you and seeing your unique and amazing work.

I hope you all will continue to follow the adventures of The Itsy Bitsy Spider too -- I'm cooking up some fun ideas for the fall and would be delighted to have you along!

  2. How great are these!?!?! I love how the owls are as diverse as the wonderfully creative crocheters who made them & how each has its own personality in spite of the fact that they were made using the same exact pattern. Love 'em all!

  4. Hello, I've just discovered your blog via Heart Handmade and when I saw owls my heart started racing. I love owls and I've been looking for a pattern to crochet. Yippee. I'm new to the blogging world and just put up a post on my love of owls, why and my collection. Co-incidence or what?? :-)

  8. Thank you so much for showing my little owly! I had SO MUCH FUN with this crochet-along and swap. Receiving my owl happened just a few days before my birthday, too, which made it all the more fun!

You're the best! Thank you so much for putting this together for us all.

    xoxo!
