Color My Monday... Yellow

Welcome to the final Color My Monday! It's been a fun trip through the rainbow with you and I hope you all have enjoyed my little exercise in looking closer at the colors in the world around me.

Today's color is yellow. I found the following little blurb about yellow on Squidoo:
Yellow shines with optimism, enlightenment, and happiness. Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future. Yellow will advance from surrounding colors and instill optimism and energy, as well as spark creative thoughts.
I've been thinking about the last sentence -- "yellow will advance from the surrounding colors," and how I can use that in my amigurumi. I never really thought about yellow's power to pull away from the rest of the colors, but a quick look at the world around me shows me that's very true:

The duck and Kai Lan's shorts really pop in this picture... and in the next, it's hard to remember that there are TWO pots of flowers...

Yellow with orange is probably one of the most divine color combinations I can think of and no one does it better than Mother Nature... It's hard to see in the picture on the blog, but if you click to see the image a little larger, the oranges near the center of the yarrow flowers are really beautiful!

Of course, it wouldn't be Color My Monday without some pictures from Hind in Egypt. Today, Hind shared with me some beautiful artwork from her daughter's students. The artists are from grades 4 through 9. I hope you find them as amazing and inspiring as I do!
