Hoot Hoot! It's a giveaway!

I hinted at it on Facebook and it's here!  -- a fun little giveaway to kick off the summer (which officially starts next week).

Becky (of the Strumpet's Crumpets) got me hooked on blind box toys -- will my husband (or my wallet) ever forgive her? We'll see!

For those of you who aren't into them, blind box toys are usually collectible, limited edition figurines. The box is colored completely (and sometimes the toys are even obscured in an opaque plastic bag) so that you don't know which one you're going to get until you open it.

My addiction started out with Dunnys that Becky loves, but has progressed into my own tastes... my favorites right now are Cactus Pups (by TokiDoki) and the first-ever blind box plush line of owlets by Harley & Boss.

Ok, so enough talk -- it's time for the giveaway. I have for you one of the Harley & Boss owls -- still sealed in its box. I don't know which one it is -- that's for the winner to find out!

But I do have to tell you -- at this point the only owl in the set I do not have is the blue one -- so if you win that one, I'm gonna be mad!

So what do you need to to to get your hands on this little guy? Just leave a comment on this blog post and tell me something about yourself that not many people know. Make sure to let me know how I can contact you if you win!

But wait, you can get even MORE chances to win!
  • Become an Itsy Bitsy Spider blog follower. If you're a new follower, leave a comment and let me know that you joined. If you're already following, you can let me know that too and score one extra entry!

Telling you something most people don't know about me? Hm... I don't like to go outside by myself, I don't like to cross large open spaces and I talk to myself constantly when I'm nervous, even in public..

I am both a follower of your blog and a fan on Facebook, and the give-away is now both blogged and tweeted! :)

  8. Hello! I started following a couple of weeks ago and so far I'm really glad I did. Something not many people know about me - when I sleep, I like to sleep with a pillow over my head and a blanket to cover all of me except for ONE foot. Also, the pillow has to be situated so that I can breathe cool air and not my own hot breathe type of air.

  9. Hello, Sara here. Let's see I'm a newer follower on your blog, I also follow you on facebook. I will be mentioning your contest on my blog: crochetricochet.blogspot.com. Something not many people know about me: for about a year in jr. high I went by the name Magy--which was short for my middle name Margaret but spelled differently then my grandmother's Maggie--didn't last long. I"m also participating in your owl crochet along and swap.

  10. Hi all! You are some very interesting folks! Kat -- your sleeping arrangements are hilarious! My husband likes to sleep with a pillow over his face too :-)

And, Liz... I am having a BLAST with the crochet-along and have several ideas for my next one. I'm tentatively looking at a fall-winter crochet-along that folks can use as a holiday present. I'll keep you posted!

  12. When I was a teenager, I had a hot rod (yes, I'm a girl, and not even a tomboy) and I loved to street race. And, I can touch my nose with my tongue.

  14. Most people don't know I cannot get to sleep at night unless someone reads to me - I use books on tape. It does not really matter what the book is the tone of voice is more important, Stephen Fry is one of the best I have found.

I follow your Blog and just did a post in mine explaining how to make wings for the owls.

  15. HELLLOOO. I have a naked kitty that I can't decide the name of ....blue eyes and pink skin with a tuff of white hair above his noise. I am thinking about calling him Frankie or Naked Joe. Maybe even starting an Etsy shop for naked kitty accessories. Hey Susan Benegas my sister and my oldest child can touch their tongue to their noises as well...I can only turn mine upside down!

  16. :) oops! But you love them! So I brought you happiness in vinyl form! I'd be your facebook bud, but I don't have facebook :( maybe I should start one!
I've seen those VERY cute blind box owls, but haven't bought one yet, bc I don't need to start a new collection, but they sure are precious! I LOVE tokidoki toys!

What do people not know about me...hmmmm.....I have no vices, but diet coke :( it's bad. I know it's terrible for me, but I love it so much! I've tried bubbly water, but it's not the same. That's not too exciting lol
