I started a second prototype yesterday and hopefully will get some time to finish it this weekend... then it's on to pattern-writing!

@Amy -- to answer your question, no. The design is made in spiral rounds (more of a traditional crochet amigurumi style). It still would be very easy to change the size by varying the number of rounds. That was something i was thinking about including in the pattern if time permits! :-)KCFitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04907513801465812861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633169369664089804.post-30453122206034935362010-08-26T18:34:17.648-04:002010-08-26T18:34:17.648-04:00Your pumpkin is really lovely and so reminds me of...Your pumpkin is really lovely and so reminds me of Autumn. I assume it is done in a long strip then sewn end to end, then gathered up? so people could make different sizes by changing the amount of starting chain? If so would be nice to note,so they could make stacking pumpkins..just a thought.. I like it.the stem is ok,but if ya make it shorter it would look more stubby.keep up the good work.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01118191142748457886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633169369664089804.post-47489314439830462002010-08-26T13:03:32.132-04:002010-08-26T13:03:32.132-04:00Oh my gosh that is the cutest pumpkin! I agree w/ SalemMomma...perhaps just a bit shorter would fix it.

Can't wait!Evelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13587382445025430711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633169369664089804.post-84621180288019373112010-08-26T13:01:00.732-04:002010-08-26T13:01:00.732-04:00I love it! The problem I had with the owl crochet along, (which I still plan on finishing!!), was that I had a bunch of other projects going on at the same time. With this one it wouldn't take as long and I can see doing this in many colors and making a cute pumpkin patch! I agree with the other commenters though, maybe making the stem a couple rows shorter? Thanks for putting together another one! I will be sure to better follow along this time around!Carol Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07117048714984852596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7633169369664089804.post-4724132468724839312010-08-26T11:02:35.271-04:002010-08-26T11:02:35.271-04:00VERY cute!
