Who Moved My Blog?

Up until today, The Itsy Bitsy Spider blog has been formatted using a custom CSS (cascading style sheet) that I wrote myself. The good part about it was that I was able to have a three-column layout when blogger didn't support three columns. The bad part about it was that I lost Blogger support for a lot of the new features.

So last night, I finally got some time to convert over to one of the Blogger standard templates. I still have some tweaking to do to make it really "my own," but I wanted to let you all know that The Itsy Bitsy Spider is alive and well and has not been taken over by some corporate zombies (although I do like zombies).

As always, I love getting your feedback and would particularly like to hear what you think about the changes to the blog. Leave me a comment and tell me what you'd like to see included or what you wish I hadn't done!

  1. Lovely design! And this new Blogger feature is so good - you don't need to write and test the code anymore but make 3 columns in whatever width and form you like.
More about your blog: I like its new neat style and the color choice too. Very very nice!

  2. I think it's great! I just switched mine around too, I didn't realize I could do all that nifty stuff until just a week or so ago. Lovin' it...makes me feel all tech-y because I can do all the stuff on my own now, hehehehe...yeah, yeah, for me it's all about the simple things. LOL

  3. I really like the tabs across the top - I might have to change mine sometime - I've got a 3 column thing going on too.

  4. I was using 1 of the free template I found on the internet. It was limited but it's free. I bought a book about CSS, let say about 3 years ago and I haven't even started the chapter 2 yet! I definitely love your blog, the design, the organization and thinking behind the whole blog. It's very impressive! =) I love the 3-column design too, it's neat and you can promote so much in those columns.
Thanks for adding my store in your "blog roll". xoxo Clara

  5. Thanks for the encouragement, everyone! I'm sure you all know that it feels like you're taking a crazy plunge into the unknown every time you change your blog... will readers like it? hate it? want to go back to the way it was?

Looking at it now, I'm glad I went for the change and I'm excited to try out some of the new goodies Blogger has in store!
